Operation ​

In August 2025, Theatre NOVA received a new lighting console from a grant, which allowed us to purchase a new lighting console and monitor solution.

As of December 3rd, 2025, the Element 2 is running v3.3.3 of Eos Family Software.

Powering up ​

  1. Turn on breakers 7 and 1B for front lights only. Include breaker 5 if wanting to use LEDs as well.
  2. Uncover the console and place the console cover somewhere safe. I tend to loop it over the railing to keep it off of the ground.
  3. Wait for the console to fully boot. A control panel will automatically be launched which includes two large buttons: Fronts up, Fronts Out.
  4. Press the Fronts Up button on the touch screen. If the touchscreen fails to respond, use the black mouse sitting next to the console to control the mouse pointer, and click the desired target.

Power off ​

  1. Turn off breakers, 1B, 5, and 7.
