Button Station Troubleshooting

These are a list of known symptoms and possible causes/where to check first for failure.

In the event of an emergency or time-sensitive matter, contact Jade through call or text.

A button station is not working

If, when pressing a button on the station, a red light flashes once on the top of the unit, this indicates that show mode is enabled, and the device is currently locked out. Use the dashboard to disable show mode.

If the device does not show a light on top, open up the dashboard's zigbee2mqtt link (https://nova-zigbee.mapletwine.dev/) and check the last online time for that button station. The battery status can also be shown here, and the most recently last button pressed.

If the button is fully functional, the issue is somewhere within Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT. Check if any other button stations work. If they do, something is wrong with the remote. Contact Jade.

If no other buttons are running, check that the dashboard is reachable. If it is not, view restarting home assistant.
