Maintenance

These responsibilities are currently performed by Jade.

Regular maintenance on the architectural system must be performed.

Remote/Button Station batteries

Each remote contains batteries that must be replaced over a period of time.

There is a page on one of the advanced dashboards which shows the remaining battery voltage of each button station and remote. This dashboard should be checked monthly, taking note of which devices are at 30% and replacing any that are around 12% battery remaining.

This is being folded into the main Dashboard within the coming weeks.

The IKEA remotes (Green room, shop, lobby, booth) take a single AAA and can simply be replaced by anyone. The remotes are magnetized to the wall and can simply be pulled off with a little bit of force, leaving the mounting bracket on the wall. Pry the back off with a flat screw driver and from there the battery can be accessed.

The Aqara 6-button remote (box office) takes a single CR2032 and should only be replaced by Jade, as the process can be potentially destructive.

Software Updates

As the Raspberry Pi and Optiplex are connected to the internet, they are regularly updated with security fixes. These are generally performed at 1AM Tuesday mornings when there is a critical update, but sometimes are performed later in the day on Tuesdays.
